Property & Estates Manager job
Multifaceted Property & Estates Manager covering London and Wales offering competitive salary.

Job Summary:   

A private individual with a diverse portfolio of commercial, private, and rented properties in South West London, as well as a house in South Wales with 15 acres of land, is seeking a highly capable and hands-on Property & Estates Manager. This is a full-time role requiring a flexible and proactive individual who can manage all aspects of property maintenance, undertake minor household repairs, liaise with contractors, and oversee budgets.

Job specification: 

Household Maintenance & Upkeep

Perform minor repairs and handy-person tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, fixing fuses, putting up pictures/shelves, maintaining fireplaces) Manage outdoor maintenance, including power washing stone flooring and covering furniture, mowing grass when required Liaising with housekeeping staff to ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the specific items within the home (silver, antiques, and furniture) Manage all vehicles (cars, scooters, bikes), including cleaning, tax, insurance, and servicing

Household Administration

Maintain contractor and supplier databases, sourcing new suppliers where applicable Create and maintain inventories (e.g., wine, spare equipment, household supplies) Maintain and update the House Manual with accurate information Perform snagging survey of properties following completion of renovations Schedule and supervise maintenance and repairs, ensuring quality work is completed Oversee the security system, ensuring the property is secure when the family is away Ensure all home systems (air conditioning, heating, lighting, and entertainment) are working Conduct regular health & safety checks, including fire alarms, lift inspections, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers Keep a property spreadsheet updated for tax purposes Travel to Wales for maintenance checks and to ensure it is ready for use Accept and manage household deliveries as required Helping set up and prepare properties for events Purchase supplies for the household Occasionally required to drive for errands or transport

Commercial/ Tenant Support & Repairs

Respond to maintenance issues Carry out minor repairs and liaise with contractors when required Schedule and oversee maintenance work, ensuring high-quality standards Arrange annual gas safety, electrical, and other compliance inspections Organise and conduct preventative maintenance inspections Ensure contracts and service agreements (e.g., cleaning, maintenance) are reviewed, renewed, or replaced as needed. Track property maintenance budgets and plan for future works

Vehicles and Driving

Occasional driving for the family Moving of vehicles between properties Moving of animals between properties including dogs and/or horse box Maintaining vehicles including MOT, Insurance and Road Tax schedules

Candidate specification:

Experience in property & estate management, ideally for high-net-worth individuals Based within reasonable commute of South West London Hands-on with strong DIY and maintenance skills Organised and able to manage multiple properties efficiently Confident in liaising with contractors, suppliers, and service providers Trustworthy, reliable, and proactive in responding to urgent matters Strong knowledge of property maintenance and familiar with smart home systems, health & safety, and compliance regulations Comfortable with occasional travel to the South Wales property and potential overseas visits Dog-friendly ideally willing to assist with pet care/transport when required Team player with strong communication skills – you will liaise with the family office Practical problem solver with an efficient and organised approach Must be a confident driver, preferably with own vehicle
