Property Manager
Description We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Property Managers with specialized knowledge in HUD-regulated housing for ongoing opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of affordable housing regulations. As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with HUD guidelines, maintaining high levels of resident satisfaction, and maximizing property performance. Key Responsibilities: Administrative and Operational Oversight + Manage the daily operations of HUD-assisted properties, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local housing regulations. + Maintain and update tenant files in accordance with HUD’s required documentation and reporting processes. + Oversee rent collection, lease administration, and occupancy management to ensure optimum property performance. HUD Compliance Administration + Monitor and enforce compliance with HUD regulations, including income certifications, tenant selection plans, and annual recertification processes. + Conduct regular audits of tenant files and records to ensure accuracy and compliance. + Work collaboratively with auditors or inspectors during HUD management reviews and resolve any findings promptly. Tenant Relations + Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and promptly. + Foster a positive community atmosphere by organizing events or programs for residents, when applicable. + Handle sensitive resident situations, such as rent delinquencies or lease violations, in accordance with established policies. Maintenance and Vendor Management + Supervise property inspections and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure a high standard of building upkeep. + Ensure timely resolution of maintenance requests and repairs in compliance with HUD's Housing Quality Standards (HQS). + Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for property services and improvements. Requirements + Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of property management experience. + Certifications: Strongly preferred certifications related to affordable housing, such as Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or HUD Certified. + Skills: Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, or similar systems), excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
