Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Proposal Analyst to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals! This position will be located on site in Palmdale or San Diego, California.
The selected candidate will become part of the Strike division Pricing and Estimating Group, working closely with Global Supply Chain, Program Management Office, Business Management, Production, and various cross-functional proposal teammates. The candidate selected for these roles will be a key member of proposal teams, leading/supporting proposal activities of diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement and collaboration with other team members.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Comprehensive review of all elements of cost including direct labor, material, Other Direct Cost (ODC) and indirect costs to ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and Northrop Grumman (NG) proceduresDemonstrating a broad skill set that is balanced across interpersonal, business, and proposal-based capabilities; a commitment to ethics and integrity; and the capability to innovate in a challenging and dynamic environmentDevelops, plans and schedules proposalsCompiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specificationsCoordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departmentsResearches and analyzes historical data, develops cost models to support proposal effortsCoordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetingsParticipates in proposal review boards and pricing reviews with various levels of management, to include sector and company leadership, and customer representativesParticipates as a member of the contract negotiating teamCoordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetingsConfigures and maintains ProPricer rate tables and live cost modelsBasic Qualifications for a Proposal Analyst:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of pricing/estimating, finance, contracts, proposals and/or business-related experience, OR a Master's DegreeMust currently possess an active DoD Secret clearance to be considered for employment.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain the Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within 120 days of start date.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and WordThe selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and be accustomed to fostering collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
