Proposal/Contract Program Manager

The NCR Banking Professional Services (PS) Project Management Team provides direct support coordinating implementations across 10+ different NCR Banking software solutions.  All of our projects are unique for every type of project according to the customer and type of implementation (including upgrade, net new or providing direct consultancy).     

We are looking for an accomplished Project Manager to join our Banking PS Team.  As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for management of Payment Solution project implementations ensuring delivery and acceptance of high-quality solutions.  In this exciting role, you will work with NCR and customer resources to perform project reviews, accomplish the tasks defined in the project plan, manage day-to-day project activities, and serve as NCR's single point of contact with the customer.  You will work with leading payment system platforms and technologies including traditional check processing and self-service interactive teller applications. 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Ensure projects are completed on-time, within budget, and within customer expectations of quality and functionalityPrepare and maintain a detailed project schedule and play a lead role in scoping, planning, costing, and pricing projects; responsible for statement of work development and risk assessmentManage customer acceptance of the solution, ensuring customer expectations stay in line with the agreed statement of work; taking the lead in working through all issues and action itemsCoordinate the establishment of a project environment that includes preparing and maintaining a roles/responsibility matrix, personnel plan and resource schedule for each project member.Measure, track, evaluate and communicate progress against the Project schedule using project reports including project financials and project reporting compliance.Author a weekly status report that is distributed and reviewed each week with the end user (Customer) in status meetings.Tool usage will include but is not limited to MS Project, PSA, Excel and MS Word and will be executed using standard NCR formats and templatesEnsure execution and accuracy of monthly forecasts, billings along with the managing procurement and payment of contractors

Basic Requirements:

5-8 years of project management experienceAdaptable – Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and rapid change. Accepts and adapts to new or alternative approachesExperience at working effectively in challenging solution implementation environmentsExperience managing complex, technology projectsInnovative and Resourceful. Develops new approaches for situations in which standard approaches do not applyBachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experiencePMI - Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification is not a must have but is preferredMust be able to Travel approximately 30% based on client need and geographical location. Travel will vary based on the project assignment.

Preferred Requirements:

Banking/Financial operations experience – specifically in payment/check processing is a plus
