SUMMARY
 

The Proposal Development Manager collaborates with the Director, Client Solutions to develop content in response to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and manages smaller, minimally complex proposals with a project management approach through the entire proposal lifecycle. The Proposal Development Manager understand the needs of prospective and existing clients, and development of the BGIS solution offering and related value propositions. The Proposal Development Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders in developing and refining proposal content to meet the requirements of the solicitation and to deliver a persuasive and compelling proposal. The Proposal Development Manager stays abreast of BGIS solutions across all service lines and assigned client vertical markets and actively participates in related industry associations supporting BGIS industry awareness.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Proposal Writing

Articulates solutions in proposals to include all aspects of the required delivery model such as organizational design, service delivery approach, differentiators, mandatory qualification information etc.  Collaborates with BGIS service lines to develop content aligned to solutions in support of business development efforts. 

Proposal Development 

Leads assigned pursuit teams for smaller, minimally complex RFPs, reviews RFP requirements and supports the Director, Client Solutions in understanding factors such as client needs, business strategy/objectives, value perception, business and value drivers. Supports development of appropriate strategy which responds to these factors. Manages the lifecycle of the proposal from kick off to submission – with a project management approach, developing appropriate timelines, milestones and organizing all supporting meetings and sessions to achieve milestones and final submittal. Leads conceiving, writing and editing of RFP responses.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

5+ years of experience in proposal writing.  3+ years in proposal management or equivalent experience (project management). Excellent persuasive writing and editing skills. Fully developed presentation, communication, interpersonal & consultative skills to manage a team of pursuit contributors, including senior executives. Pro-active & flexible approach to work: ability to work on own initiative. Excellent organizational & administrative skills with strong attention to detail, strong time management / prioritization skills. Flexibility to cope with several jobs simultaneously to agreed deadlines. University Graduate with demonstrated progressive, industry knowledge and related experience that usually comes with more than 5 years of Integrated Facilities Management services delivery work experience, or equivalent. MS Office, particularly advanced levels of Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent presentation development skills. Industry experience is an asset

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

None required – APMP or PMP considered an asset.
