Proposal Engineer

The Inside Sales Engineer will be responsible for develop and maintain a very good knowledge of Emerson Measurement Solutions Portfolio, services, and Industry applications.
Analyze customer Request for Quote (RFQ), including Data Sheets, Technical Specifications, DTI’s and raise and resolve any queries.
Prepare technical-commercial quotes using different corporate tools. Use of Oracle (Global Quote Form), Flow Product Advisor, Toolkit, CRM and OCM. Work together with the Solutions group to develop new projects. Be technically sound to learn and adapt to newer technologies. Be flexible to visit to customer sites as well as to other Emerson offices for kick-off meetings, clarifications, proposal development and review meetings in accordance with the agreed sales and proposal strategies. Provides Technical trainings for representatives and new employees

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Responsible for the generation of all project proposal deliverables (Technical Solution and Commercial Proposal, Cost Analysis) using Emerson proposal tools Coordinate with sales and BDM team to review and to define the sales strategy based on customer specification and other deviations.  Collaborate, communicate and align activities with the partners and to understand customer needs and requirements. Coordinate with PMO teams for Techno commercial offer evaluation.

For This Role, You Will Need: Knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls System. Proficient in applying a variety of PC skills and application software, including MS Word, Excel, Visio, and other relevant tools. Understanding of a project life cycle Understanding of customer need and translating it into a technical solution.  Able to size and analyze Flow and level meters based on RFQ requirements.

Preferred qualifications that set you a part:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Chemical, Control and Automation or Industrial Engineering. Understanding of Control systems & instrumentation Ability to act with clear sense of ownership and hold self and others accountable to meet commitments. Ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments. Able to do multi-tasking and set priorities within set of tasks.  Effective written and verbal communicator. Ability to work within a complex matrix organization.  Ability to in multi-functional teams’ proposal, Sales, Operation, Procurement, Legal team located remotely. Ability to provide clear direction, delegate & distribute assignments and decisions appropriately. Our Offer To You:
