Summary – basic function of the role We are seeking a skilled Proposal Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. Your role will be responsible for the end-to-end completion of high-quality proposals, quotations, bids and tender responses, which are both technically and commercially compliant with the client’s specifications. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare detailed engineering proposals for a full range of products and services. Analyze client specifications and develop technically compliant proposals, offering alternatives where appropriate. Identify and mitigate commercial or contractual risks. Ensure pricing aligns with company strategies, charge rates, and resource availability. Act as the primary client contact, negotiating costs and proposal details. Lead bid review, clarification, and sales handover meetings. Write and present high-quality technical and commercial documents. Collaborate with internal teams to gather accurate proposal data. Maintain a strong sales and marketing focus in all proposal activities. Work Benefits Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on engineering experience. Familiarity with commercial/technical review processes. Strong experience in a similar industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
