Our Corporate Business Development Team is currently hiring a Proposal Estimator. This role will be at the forefront of shaping high-impact proposals, partnering with Project Managers and Business Development Managers to craft competitive, winning bids.

 

The Proposal Estimator should have direct experience evaluating specifications and project requirements, outlining approaches for project execution, determining pricing strategies, gathering and documenting pricing data, developing estimating spreadsheets, and completing comprehensive proposals and cost estimates for our Non-Nuclear Pursuits.

 

This position can be based in one of the following locations:

Kennesaw, GA (Atlanta Suburb)Tampa, FLOverland Park, KSNaperville or Chicago, ILAdditional office locations may be considered for the right candidate  Responsibilities

The Proposal Estimator plays a key role in shaping successful project outcomes by developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for proposal submissions.

Proposal & Bid Support: Support Pursuits (Proposal) Specialists in estimating appropriate scope, including engineering services, construction management, start-up and commissioning as necessary. Assist Pursuits team in developing winning proposals, focused on power industry and data center scope. Support preparation of bid documents, including data sheets, pricing information, etc. Engage with potential subcontractors and log communication to acquire pricing and qualification documents in preparation of bid submission. Track firm due dates to ensure timely deliverables. Analysis of bid information (RFPs, plans and specifications, flow down requirements, etc.) to ensure compliance is achievedEstimating & Cost Development: Work with Project Managers to develop costs for project change order requests (CORs). Develop standard template for efficient estimate development based on business line and typical scope. Utilize published data, historical project costs, and input from Business Development team to validate estimates. Develop comprehensive and well-documented cost estimates. Respond to miscellaneous internal requests for assistance with Estimating Department functionsCollaboration & Strategy: Collaborate with Pursuits Specialists and Project Managers to determine preliminary execution approach and pricing strategies. Partner with customers, engineers, and internal stakeholders (sales, engineering, etc.). Basic understanding of project schedules, scope, and other factors impacting the overall costs associated with engineering services workOther Duties: Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or related field 3-5 years of experience in the engineering, consulting, design or other relevant industryContract language review experience is requiredMust have experience evaluating specifications and project requirements, outlining approaches for project execution, determining pricing strategies, gathering and documenting pricing data, developing estimating spreadsheets, and completing comprehensive proposals and cost estimates Strong written and verbal skillsAble to handle confidential information with discretionAbility to work independently, and with teams as requiredAbility to handle multiple project at once with strong attention to detailExperience with bid package and/or proposal assembly requiredMust be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Pay Range USD $71,250.00 - USD $103,950.00 /Yr.
