As a Proposal Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Technical & Commercial Project Proposals to our customers in Europe across various process industries (such as Life Sciences, Chemical, Energy, Power and Renewables) within automation projects business portfolios and support Emerson sales teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities. This role requires the proposal delivery management of a broad variety of projects ranging from small to large and/or complex ones, assuming ownership of the full scope, by functionally leading the team of Project Proposal Engineers, including sales & operations collaborators’ coordination and direct customer contact, with the focus on winning more orders for the company.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
To ensure understanding, managing and satisfying each requirement or expectation from customers or the company’s partners through remote communication or site visits; acting as a trusted advisor. To take full ownership of the delivery of the assigned technical and commercial large size and/or complex project proposals scope by managing a team of Project Proposal Engineers, within automation projects business portfolio, following the standard process; ensure the innovative and efficient solutions are proposed; proactively apply methodologies, resources and techniques for minimizing the proposal preparation effort, whilst maintaining the requisite schedule and quality; ensure partners are proactively informed on the status or any challenges. To facilitate the creation of an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project proposal team and ensure its high performance in proposal preparation. To acquire, maintain and actively share knowledge and experience with the team and the more comprehensive organization; supporting the on-the-job development of other Project Proposal Engineers. To act as Subject Matter Expert/Solution Architect for applications in one of the process industries. To tackle other responsibilities or tasks, including those related to Ethics and Information Security policies within the skills and abilities, whenever reasonably instructed. For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the Engineering field. Proficiency in English with a second European language preferred (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills. Good technical understanding of process automation, DCS (Distributed Control System) and/or PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems, computer infrastructure and network architecture. Ability to lead a technical team - with leadership experience preferred. Ability to work independently and within defined timelines. Extensive experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations. Computer literate (MS Office).Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
