What success looks like in this role:
The Proposal Manager is a critical member of the Bid and Pursuit team, supporting Unisys’ strategic opportunities. They are responsible for orchestrating a disciplined and streamlined proposal response, in addition to the tactical management of all proposal workstreams.
Responsible for quality control of all client-facing materials during the pursuit.
Serve as a key contributor in pursuit strategy sessions, manages output and drives completion of action items.
Develop and manage proposal schedules and confirm compliance.
Manage the end-to-end process of developing RFI/RFP responses.
Lead conversations with bid teams on proposal content, timeline and proposal milestones
Coordinate key proposal activities including the writer’s workshop and red team review
Champion best-practice proposal management tools and processes; coach bid teams on best practices and insights related to why we win.
Create and maintain a detailed, comprehensive proposal tracker, compliance matrix and calendar.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, Bid team members, and other stakeholders to develop a winning proposal strategy.
In collaboration with Bid Team, draft non-technical sections of content, including executive summaries, introduction sections, methodologies, timelines, and other proposal components.
Review and edit proposal drafts for clarity, coherence, grammar, and spelling errors.
Conduct proposal reviews and incorporate feedback.
Participate in upkeep of reusable databases. Databases include Proposal Content, Graphics, Past Performance, Re-usable Assets, etc.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Strong understanding of Business Development and Pursuit Management
2+ years proposal management experience
Experience in proposal writing and/or editing
Technology solutions industry background
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
APMP Foundation-level Certification desired
Experience with proposal/content management tools like Responsive, Loopio and Qvidian a plus
Excellent follow-up, project management skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work with team members across multiple time-zones and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
