In the role of Proposal Manager, we'll count on you to:Lead and support pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies through capture planning for upcoming project opportunitiesFacilitate pursuit teams to develop persuasive proposal and interview materialsDevelop and produce proposals, work plans, and schedules and confirm compliance to RFP documentsDevelop and coordinate layouts and graphics using brand standardsEngage the appropriate marketing and technical resources in pursuit teamsWrite non-technical text, and edit and proofread marketing collateralBe responsible for timely production and quality of marketing communicationsLead quality reviews of proposal and interview materialsLead or support development and implementation of client development plans, including long-term strategies to capture market shareCoach interview teams to be effective at delivering key messages during interview presentations or client meetingsFacilitate debriefs to identify improvement opportunities and to measure overall competitivenessTrain and mentor employees on business development and marketing best practicesArticulate HDR’s capabilities and competitive advantagesMaintain accurate project opportunity forecasting in our Oracle system and generate reports when needed.Other duties as assignedPreferred Qualifications10 years of relevant experienceSuperb written and oral communication skillsMastery of strategic marketing communication conceptsExcellent time management, organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines with diplomacyWillingness to travel to all Southern California areas as requiredAbility to compose documents onscreen and to communicate graphicallyInterface with people both inside and outside the firm including clients and sub-consultantsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environmentsStrength in managing multiple deadlines/multi-tasking skills while providing responsive communicationExcellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing, and presentation; Interview coaching ability a plusEnjoy working with different personality styles and management levelsRequires little or no direction in area of specializationPositive outlook and attitudeDeep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services; Water industry experience a plusDemonstrated experience in writing compelling content based on information from technical staffRequired Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience Demonstrated "self-starter" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign

The expected compensation range for this position is $75,000 - $113,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
