Proposal Specialist

APTIM is searching for a Proposal Specialist with commercial and public sector experience. You will develop high quality and compliant proposals for commercial clients (including environmental, retail, energy, aviation) and state and local governments across the United States.
This is a hybrid position, 3 days in office 2 days from home.
**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:**
+ Coordinate proposal preparation team (subject matter experts/writers, graphic artists, contracts, and other key proposal development functions).
+ Apply APTIM's standard proposal management processes, to include schedule, compliance, reviews, themes, etc.
+ Manage proposal budgets and schedules.
+ Lead content planning from compliant outline through win themes, section plans and graphics.
+ Lead kickoff and review meetings in concert with the capture manager and delivery staff.
+ Facilitate development of compelling solutions with technical and program staff.
+ Develop targeted solicitation questions to ensure compliance.
+ Remain current on all solicitation amendments and modifications.
+ Develop, edit, and implement templates for proposals.
+ Create detailed compliance matrix and perform quality check of all proposal sections.
+ Ultimately responsible for compliance, accuracy and quality.
+ Although not extensive, some travel as well as evening and weekend work may be required.
+ Take end-to-end ownership and command of proposal development and related processes.
+ Write and synthesize proposal/marketing narrative in near-real time as required.
+ Advance proposal knowledge-management processes.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ A Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or an engineering-related discipline, or equivalent.
+ 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-volume proposal environment.
+ Demonstrated organizational capability and ability to balance multiple competing priorities under deadlines.
+ Strong communications skills and ability to work with range of staff at various levels.
+ Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite business applications.
+ Excellent command of English grammar and punctuation is required.
+ Meticulous attention to detail.
+ You must be a self-starter and natural leader as you will have end-to-end responsibility for leading teams to deliver winning proposals.
+ Hybrid schedule/Must be located in Denver, CO area
**Additional Desirable Qualifications:**
+ Experience in energy, environmental, sustainability, and / or emergency management.
+ A Master's degree in business, communication, marketing, or an engineering-related discipline.
+ APMP certifications and/or continued education in proposal related subjects.
