Proposals Manager ETO N2 Systems

Air Products Membrane Solutions offers Engineered-to-Order membrane systems for high flow industrial applications. Ideal for the oil and gas industry, ammonia plants, chemical manufacturing facilities, and oil refineries, these fully customized systems are the result of collaborating with end-users, licensors, and EPC firms.

The Proposals Manager ETO N2 Systems is part of Membrane Solutions Engineering Group in Norway and reports to Manager System Products Development.

Responsibilities

The Proposals Manager ETO N2 Systems is responsible for technical bid preparation for Engineered to Order Nitrogen Systems (ETO-N2). Annual revenue ($) 8-10MM, 4-6 projects.

Duties include:

Ensure that the company’s Health, Safety and Environment standards and practice are supported in all ETO projects, including employees, customers, and vendors.Develop, own, and maintain proposal templates for Membrane Solutions ETO N2 systems.Develop, own, and maintain costing tools used to estimate projects.Prepare technical offer and costing for bids (screening, budgetary or firm)Include process schemes, GA drawings and other main documents.  Prepare project plan (EMPS), quality plan and document list (SDL)In consultation with Product Engineering Manager N2 System decide best technical and commercial solutions, participate in further product development.In agreement with Procurement & Quality Manager prepare RFQ’s for fabrication and sub-orders. Qualify quotations, lead assessment, and select preferred sub-suppliers to be used.Ensure the proposal complies with international standards and customer specific requirements.Ensure the proposal follows Air Products standards, procedures, and instructions.Conduct and lead overall project risk assessments prior to firm bid submission.Support commercial sale responsible throughout the offer phase.Participate in customer clarifications meetings (BCM) and kick-off meetings (KOM), up to 15% travel expected.Support the project team during project establishment.As appropriate support and coordinate bid-work with Proposals Manager ETO PGS.

Qualifications:

Technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Process EngineeringThrough minimum 8 years’ experience in project engineering and execution, having a proficient multidiscipline knowledge and understanding.Field work experience with membrane N2 systems or other relevant installationsKeen eye for detail and strong focus on cost control-oriented product developmentSelf-driven and proactive, but at the same time enjoy working in teams.Ability to work on multiple tasks and project opportunities in parallel.Strong communication skills, both written and verbally in English, and preferably Norwegian.Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Projects, and Adobe Acrobat.
