We are seeking a Proposals Student for our Ottawa District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that is available for 4 months from May 2025 to August 2025.

 

Here's how a Proposals Student for our Ottawa office contributes to our team: 

Responsibilities Works with a small team of Proposal Specialists on submission documents that may include: Expressions of Interest (EOI); Requests for Qualifications (RFQ); Requests for Proposal (RFP). Assists with RFP review process including reviewing RFP requirements, development of proposal outline and timeline/assignments (Proposal Plan), and identifying questions, concerns and potential risks to inform the Strategic Visioning and proposal planning stage of the process. Participates in the kick-off ‘Strategic Visioning’ and Proposal Planning session, ensuring that all key proposal stakeholders are represented. Assists with researching key submission data necessary to create a submission document. Assists with translating a proposal ‘Vision’ into a compelling proposal layout and graphic design working primarily in InDesign, and creating compelling graphics and visual communication strategies, including strategic image selection and/or acquisition. Assists in the assembly and review of responses for compliance, accuracy and content, and coordinate/ participate in review sessions with teammates/ stakeholders to ensure the integrity of all documents and solutions. Accurately proof, edit and reword text. Other duties as required. Qualifications Working towards a degree or diploma in a communications field. Strong written communication and collaboration skills. Competency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Proficiency with Adobe InDesign would be considered an asset.
