About the Role

This position is responsible for identifying customer and market opportunities to deliver differentiated product propositions that cater to the evolving needs of AIA Philippines Group’s target customers. The position will contribute to proposition design for AIA Philippines, BPI AIA, and other affiliates/subsidiaries such as Medicard, as required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Competitive Research and Benchmarking – Conduct ongoing market scans and driven research to build and maintain a reference guide to competitor products

Opportunity Identification, Evaluation and Sizing – Maximising competitive information, customer segmentation and market segmentation, identify customer needs that can be addressed by AIA through new or existing propositions. Size the business opportunity for AIA in terms of customers and premiums/revenue.

Proposition Concept Development – Propose solutions to the identified customer needs by creating product concepts or ideas that can be evaluated for feasibility. Partner with Product tribe to translate concepts into technical designs and complete actuarial and feasibility studies that will resolve whether to pursue the concept. Validate resulting design through customer research prior to development and launch.

Proposition Marketing & Communications – Partner with Brand team to design compelling launch and communication plans for propositions, anchored on customer insights. This will include public / customer communications, as well as tools and materials that Life Planners and distribution partners can use to communicate products and solutions to end customers.

Financial Management - Ensure that spend falls within approved thresholds and delivers committed benefits

Risk Management – Ensure proper risk assessments are done on all activities under their remit, establish controls for any risk/s identified, and ensure such controls are properly and consistently implemented.

Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or another related field

5-7 years experience leading marketing functions in the area of customer and/or product, such as customer insights, customer engagement, product / solutions design, customer platform management

Demonstrated ability to deliver customer solutions based on insights, and effectively engage customers

Experience in design thinking or human centered design
