PROSPECT RESEARCH ANALYST
The Prospect Research Analyst provides full scale prospect research, identification, and development services throughout the prospect life cycle. They collaborate with advancement leadership, gift officers, and volunteers on proactive and reactive prospect research and identification projects, wealth and propensity reviews, and other prospect development related projects. Prospect Research + Collects, synthesizes, analyzes, and interprets biographical and financial data to produce briefings and reports that inform decision-making. + Prepare research profiles as requested on identified prospects to support fundraising and donor engagement strategies. + Calculate wealth estimates and capacity ratings that indicate the ability and propensity of individuals, corporations and foundations to make philanthropic contributions to and serve in volunteer capacities for the university. + Utilizes advanced research and analytical methodologies to identify, qualify, and rank a viable pool of highly qualified prospective donors and volunteers in support of the College’s strategic fundraising activities, including the annual, planned, major, and leadership gifts fundraising programs. IC Culture + Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful College community. + Demonstrate civil and inclusive behavior when interacting with staff, faculty, students, and visitors to the College. + Promote flexible, collaborative, and inclusive work and living Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years nonprofit development experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. + Master’s degree preferred. + Demonstrated knowledge of prospect research tools and techniques. + Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and both written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to effectively work and interact respectfully within a diverse and inclusive environment. + Ability to evaluate and verify the accuracy of information and sources. + Capable of working efficiently and quickly to respond to unanticipated requests when required. + Familiarity with free and paid prospect research and wealth screening tools. Experience with iWave, Lexis-Nexis, and/or Foundation Directory a plus. + In-depth knowledge and facility with various databases and Microsoft applications. + Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain constituent records confidentiality. Work Environment: Most of the work of the incumbent is carried out within a generally accessible, safe, indoor environment. The incumbent will be required to use a personal computer and associated equipment as well as other office equipment used in the day-to-day operations.
