About the Role:
As the Regional Applications Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and supporting advanced protection and automation systems. Working closely with customers and our talented applications team, you will deliver bespoke solutions tailored to specific requirements, ensuring optimal performance and reliability throughout the asset lifecycle.
Your Key Responsibilities:Analyse client requirements and deliver customised, cutting-edge solutions.Design and implement electrical protection and automation systems for diverse applications.Support clients during installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases.Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting using Siemens’ digital twin technology and real devices.Deliver training sessions for both internal and external customers on Siemens technologies.Promote Siemens protection and automation solutions across the Pacific region.Stay ahead of industry trends, standards, and technologies to ensure customer satisfaction and continuous innovation.
What We’re Looking For:A degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering. Candidates with substantial sector experience but without tertiary qualifications are also encouraged to apply.Hands-on experience with electrical power systems (generation, transmission, and/or distribution).Familiarity with SIPROTEC, Reyrolle, RuggedCOM, and SICAM product families.Expertise in DIGSI 5, ToolBox II, and Device Manager for system configuration.Proficiency in Electrical Protection Systems, including hardware selection, protection settings, and integration design.Knowledge of primary plant and apparatus, including current and voltage transformers.Experience with SCADA and RTU systems, communication protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, IEC60870), and automation programming languages (C, Visual Basic, STL, SCL, CFC).
