Protection and Resilience Officer - coordinator MEA

What you will do:

Implement and maintain robust Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, IT Service Continuity Management, Emergency Response Management and Protective Security programs in line with the Allianz Partners Standards and Functional Rules for Protection and Resilience across the region. Develop cost effective strategies and plans, approved by Global P&R Team, that mitigate identified risks. Make sure that regular reviews are undertaken to ensure the strategies and plans remain up to date and are continually embedded throughout the region. In liaison with multi-disciplinary colleagues, develop a cost-effective business continuity strategy including Disaster Recovery and major incident response plans to cover a range of threat events. Establish and chair a business continuity working group to make sure that regular reviews and tests are undertaken to keep the strategies and plans up to date and embedded throughout the region. Alongside colleagues ensure regulatory compliance with matters involving personal safety and security, including fire regulations and Safeguarding; and ensure appropriate operational control systems are in place. Be responsible for seamless communications and coordination with local and Global stakeholders for major incident response and business continuity plans. Provide general advice and deliver training to staff and volunteers in safety, security and resilience issues, including fire and security (may be also in collaboration with external provider). Establish and maintain key performance indicators and key risk indicators for all P&R domains. Act as lead on the security management of high-profile events and services. Be responsible for crisis management and act as Silver Command in the event of an emergency. Coordinate P&R awareness initiatives across the region. Remain up-to-date on industry trends and best practice relating to P&R. Other related P&R activities as required by the Group P&R Team and Regional / Local Heads of Operations.

 

What you bring:

Education: University degree in a relevant discipline, ideally disaster / emergency management, risk management, international security, business administration, political science, economics, or any related field +4 years of successful professional experience in the Insurance Operations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to identify and manage risk in a complex setting Experience of developing, implementing, and embedding policies and processes Have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with a range of people at all levels, including internal colleagues and external organizations Confident, clear and effective communication skills both written and verbal An ability to influence and persuade colleagues and senior management of the approach to be taken that help our messages reach a diverse and wide audience Strong project management skills, ideally in an agile environment Very good analytical and conceptual skills Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines and work objectives Experience of development and integration of security procedures and systems within complex spaces Total discretion and ability to keep sensitive information confidential Have the ability to prioritize work, to multi-task and work to deadlines Be willing to work in a very busy environment and the ability to remain calm under pressure Good IT skills in Microsoft applications Exigent / self-motivated individual with high stand of work and ethics High level of emotional intelligence (self-awareness & control, empathy, etc.)
