Protection & Controls Test Engineer

System One is currently seeking a Protection & Controls Test Engineer on a 22 month contract position located in Atlanta, GA.
Protection & Control Test Engineer Responsibilities: Develop and execute detailed test plans for Protection & Control (P&C) systems to validate their performance, safety, and reliability against specified requirements. Implement and manage testing procedures, tools, and methodologies to ensure thorough evaluation of P&C systems in various scenarios and conditions. Collaborate with design engineers, developers, and product managers to understand system functionalities and derive accurate and meaningful test criteria. Analyze test data to identify deviations, anomalies, or issues in P&C system performance. Provide detailed reports and feedback to relevant stakeholders, recommending modifications, enhancements, and updates to P&C systems based on test results and performance analysis. Ensure that testing activities are in compliance with relevant regulatory standards, industry practices, and organizational quality assurance protocols. Create comprehensive documentation of test protocols, results, analyses, and recommendations to facilitate transparent communication and future reference. Participate in troubleshooting and diagnostic activities to identify and resolve issues uncovered during testing. Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate solutions, maintaining and calibrating testing equipment and apparatus to ensure accurate and reliable testing outcomes. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to the refinement of testing methodologies, and staying updated with technological advancements and industry trends related to P&C systems and testing. Build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
Protection & Control Test Engineer Requirements: 3-7 years of related experience An accredited bachelor's degree in engineering.
