Position Responsibilities
In an assigned area(s), patrols the buildings and grounds observing for persons or conditions which could adversely affect the security and safety of the Medical Center. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft Locates and reports hazardous conditions and illegal activities as observed or documented Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations Courteously controls subjects and witnesses and protects the scene and any physical evidence as observed by the discipline and the supervisor Identifies and obtains statements from all persons having knowledge of the subject of investigation as evidenced by a complete and accurate report Identifies gathers or photographs all physical evidence regarding the subject of the investigation as observed by supervisors or the respective documentationQualifications
Security License preferred, Crisis Prevention Intervention training within first 4 months of employment Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s license with a “good” driving history and no more than 4 points. High school diploma required 5+ Years of previous security experience prior experience in law enforcement / military preferred.Benefits
