Element Ann Arbor has a great opportunity for a Proteomics Scientist to join our Method Development and Characterization team. The individual must be proficient in protein biochemistry, protein mass spectrometry (bottom up and top down proteomics), and hands on LC-MS/MS experience and analysis.
Responsibilities Design, execute and analyze protein LC-MS/MS to elucidate protein sequence and post translational modifications such as glycosylation, deamidation, and other characterization attributes.Design, execute, and analyze proteomics experiments to identify unknown proteins in a sample.Perform other analytical separations techniques such as HPLC (SEC, RP, AIEX, CIEX), LC-MS/MS, LC-QTOF, cIEF, CE-SDS.Perform basic molecular biology techniques such as UV-Vis, Enzymatic Assays, BCA, Bradford, ELISA, Western Blots, SDS-PAGE.Perform method development to meet intent of customer needs.Write reports and proper documentation of the work in cGMP settingCarry out technical transfer of the developed method to other groups within the organizationExecute projects with minimal supervisionHave the ability to analyze data from the qualitative to the rigorously statistical and defend conclusions based on dataHave the ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical abilitiesFollow all safety requirements including wearing appropriate personal protective equipmentGenerate supporting laboratory documentationEnsure compliance with government rules and regulations (FDA, cGMP, DEA, ICH, OSHA, etc.)Performs other related duties as assigned.
