Position Overview

As a Prototype Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in testing and verifying innovative solutions related to dosing, dispensing, dilution, and packaging systems. From concept development to implementation, your work will ensure that our solutions meet the highest quality standards while promoting sustainability.

Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Innovation Engineers, scientists, and chemists—you'll prototype designs, build test setups, and deliver detailed technical reports.

Key Responsibilities

Lead testing and verification for innovation projects, focusing on dosing, dispensing, dilution, and packaging systems.Develop prototypes using workshop tools and machines, ensuring compliance with requirements.Collaborate with global teams and external partners to identify and validate technology solutions.Manage projects effectively, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.Prepare detailed technical reports and propose creative solutions to technical challenges.Align documentation with quality standards and systems at Diversey.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience (or MBO+ degree with 10+ years of experience).Hands-on experience in mechanical workshops and using CAD software (preferably SolidWorks).Basic knowledge of mechatronics, including programming/automation (e.g., Arduino).Strong project management skills with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Creative mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills.Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with sustainable technologies (e.g., bioplastics, compostable materials).Familiarity with chemical compatibility, packaging regulations, and fluidics.Knowledge of IoT, sensors, microcontrollers, or other mechatronics/electronics.Expertise in workshop skills, including milling and lathe operations.
