Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the Healthfirst overall business and risk model, with a focus on how to support provider organizations to improve financial performance and how value-based care can drive improved outcomes Attend internal and external provider meetings to develop an understanding of how the Provider Risk Analytics work fits into the larger Healthfirst enterprise strategy Perform analysis and data projects to begin to develop an understanding of how to monitor cost and revenue trends, use analytics and various types of healthcare data to identify improvement opportunities, and model and communicate impact to providers
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree or currently enrolled in Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Math, Statistics, Economics or related programs Undergraduate students must be a junior or senior at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program. Will not require sponsorship for employment Eligible to work in the U.S. Must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA from an accredited school
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or currently enrolled in Finance, Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Math, Statistics, Economics or related programs Knowledge of SQL based applications and Tableau Work experience with Microsoft Excel - create pivot tables, formatting, sorting, create spreadsheets with complex formulas such as v-look ups. Self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work independently and collaborate through strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience managing projects Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare programs Knowledge of healthcare data (claims, diagnosis and procedure codes, etc.)Hiring Range*:
Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $39,208 - $52,000
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,091 - $49,920
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
