The development center of SAP in Bulgaria plays a key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Business Technology Platform. **Summary:**
We seek a motivated and passionate Software Engineer, to become part of the newly established Provisioning CoE in the Product Engineering board area. You will analyze, design and contribute to the implementation of our provisioning and integration automation self-service toolset, supporting the entire SAP’s Cloud solutions portfolio.
The Provisioning CoE team directly contributes to the success of our corporate strategy by ensuring a harmonized Suite First experience, putting the customer at the center, and enabling a seamless up-sell/cross-sell across the portfolio.
**The Role:**
In this role as a Provisioning Tools Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining provisioning tools that connect various cloud services and applications together, or enable their development teams to release and validate their products more efficiently. Whether those are self-service tools for internal use, increasing the efficiency of our other SAP colleagues or process extensions benefitting the broader SAP developers’ community – it all falls in the scope of the Provisioning CoE. Of course – any software we deliver (internally or externally) is maintaining strict adherence to SAP product standards and guidelines. You will be part of a cross-functional agile group focused on delivering secure-by-default architectural solutions and self-service tooling, leveraging Infrastructure as Code principles. .
Working both independently and in close collaboration within the small team of co-located engineers, you will use data-driven decision-making and engage with various stakeholders, including your Tech Lead, Operations engineers, Architects, DevOps specialists, and Product Management, to ensure that we provide the solutions to the identified challenges.
**What you bring:**
You have a strong system integration automation engineering background, taking part in the design, development, validation, shipment, operations and the subsequent support of cloud native solutions at scale. You have an eye for details and you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty with frontend or backend development and troubleshooting.
+ BA/MA/Diploma in a technical field of study
+ 2-4 years of experience in DevOps or a similar engineering role, with significant exposure to system provisioning automation and integration
+ Technical expertise
+ Strong programming and design skills (Java, JavaScript or Python)
+ First-hand experience with developing and delivering applications (front/backend) as a service!
+ Efficient software delivery experience.
+ Deep understanding of configuration management tools and how they impact the software stack.
+ React.js or Angular frontend development experience.
+ Using GitHub/GitLab as a source control.
+ Experience in implementing/integrating the SAP applications portfolio is a strong advantage.
+ Very strong analytical thinking: ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, especially those involving integration between disparate systems..
+ Cloud platform certifications related to architecture or development are considered a strong advantage!
+ Standards definition engagement experience is an advantage (Eclipse Foundation, CNCF, Linux Foundation, Apache Software Foundation).
+ Open source contribution experience? Don’t hesitate to mention it!
+ Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex integration needs and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
**Meet your team:**
The newly founded Provisioning CoE team will significantly reduce time-to-value (TTV), improve customers' unboxing experience satisfaction, and drive tangible improvement across all the involved tools and processes concerning the PE applications portfolio. The team will define and drive the execution of a PE North Star strategy for consumption, provisioning, and integration, putting customers in the center and lowering their bar for entry from contract signature to go-live.
