Job Purpose:
Plans, schedules, managers, supervises and oversees the execution of broad and complex firm-business turbomachinery projects which could exceed $30 million in revenue. The scope of this position includes all of the commercial, contractual, and technical aspects of the project. The scope also includes the planning, design, procurement, assembly, test, shipment and commissioning of these complex projects. This position may provide technical direction to lower level project engineers.  

Job description:

•    Manage the execution of broad and complex firm-business turbomachinery projects from booking to beneficial use.
•    Responsible for commercial and technical aspects of the project. 
•     Accountable for the planning, design, procurement, assembly, test, shipment, and commissioning of these complex projects.
•    Schedule and lead regular tollgate meetings with project team members.
•    Ensure project definition is correct and well understood by the engineering project team and followed throughout the manufacturing.
•    Interface with the customer on technical and commercial matters and make sure his expectations are met in time and quality.
•    Prepare cost estimates at booking; at cash and at shipment. 
•    Monitor progress to schedule in engineering, supply chain and production operations.
•    Ensure issues are resolved quickly and in desired quality.
•    Monitor and approve Customer Drawings and Operation/Maintenance Manuals. 
•    Assure project revenue recognition and profitability are timely and are in concert with Company financial plan

Requirements:

•    Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or other related engineering disciplines
•    Strong knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
•    Min 5+ years of previous experience in manufacturing and project management
•    A thorough knowledge of the principles relating to the design, and operation of turbines and control systems. 
•    The ability to apply these principles to the direction of other disciplines and to direct people of lesser experience in the performance of turbine package engineering assignments relative to the support of turbomachinery projects.
•    Fluency in English is required as the working language and German language skills would be highly recommended.
•    Excellent communicator and comfortable managing multiple tasks and projects, be a team player and have a problem-solving aptitude.
•    Willing to travel independently on international projects on short notice in EAME base customer, we can estimate about 20-30% of time traveling.
