Our Protected Vehicles (PRV) team works closely with clients to design, manufacture, maintain and upgrade protected vehicles that keep people safe, all around the world. Our state-of-the-art workshops are set up to help us deliver Hawkei and Bushmaster military vehicles to strict defence standards – and set our people on rewarding career paths.
Based in Eaglefarm, Brisbane on Jagera and Turrbul land or on our Bendigo site on Dja Dja Wurrung land, your role purpose is to oversee PRV’s security operations and Defence security compliance across our PRV business and facilities.
In this dynamic role, you will manage security clearances, streamline processes, and coordinate security administration and physical building security.
Responsibilities:
Manage project-related security, including personnel and physical security, in line with Defence Security regulations
Conduct annual site and project security risk assessments (SRAs)
Oversee the national security clearance process for applications, renewals, and deactivations
Liaise with Corporate Security and PRV management on security matters
Promote a culture of proactive security reporting and awareness
Develop and implement security procedures to safeguard classified information and Controlled Technology
Manage visitor and access control processes, ensuring compliance with Thales and Defence Security requirements
Participate in corporate governance audits and maintain security training for PRV personnel
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Tertiary Qualification in Business / Investigations
Must have experience working with Defence Security requirements and processes
Defence Security Officer Trained
Must have knowledge of DSPF / PSPF / GOVSEC regulations
Valid First Aid Certificate and Driver’s License
Tertiary Qualification in Business / Investigations
Excellent communication and governance skills
Availability to travel on an as needed basis
Excellent communication and governance skills
Strong ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
This role requires a Defence Security Clearance of minimum NV1 level. The suitable candidate must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
