Overview Are you ready for what’s next, now? We’re looking for a PS Consultant to join us in Alpharetta, GA or remotely in the US. The position is full-time. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base. About the role The PS Consultant provides software implementation, onboarding, training and consulting professional services for our firm's developed shipping software applications and integrated systems. As a PS Consultant you will consult with customers in the optimal configuration and usage of application modules; research and resolve problems and issues; and manage customer expectations and foster positive business relationships with all customers. The position is project based encapsulating all phases of the project lifecycle from requirements evaluation and initiation through closure/transfer to operations. Before transitioning, the candidate is required to work temporarily in a customer facing/technical support role to gain knowledge and understanding of the software, integrated systems, and diverse customer needs. The individual must be able to get up to speed quickly. Responsibilities/Duties: Consulting Services Conduct implementation, integration, configuration, upgrade, migration, consultation, training services for our firm's developed shipping software applications and integrated systems. Conduct all phases of the project: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closing. Evaluates customer needs through in-depth requirements gathering, efficiency, workflow, and business process reviews. Develops configurations that support and align business processes and workflow. Convert requirements into a scope of work, work breakdown structure and plan for configuration that supports the Client's business process. Defines and executes on implementation plans and scope of work. Collaborate with Sales team during pre-sales product demonstrations or provide assistance in scoping projects or developing proposals. Monitor project progress, performance, issues, risks and budget. Strategize and coordinate project timeline to key stakeholders with scope and needed pre-requisites for preparation. Incident Resolution Conduct validation testing and troubleshooting final configured systems. Identify, diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, provide solutions or workarounds in a timely manner. Submit high priority defects/requests with necessary priority stamp and proper content for replication. Assist with Support calls/emails during peak volume periods and when projects are slow. Provide software documentation, instructions and help file resources for trending issues or topics. Provide post implementation, UAT and go-live support. Escalate issues when necessary Communication Deliver frequent and high-quality communication, follow-up and engagement with key stakeholders of the project throughout each project phase. Very strong communication with management on project hurdles, change requests risks, sensitive or escalated issues impacting project timeline. Monitor support services emails frequently with high responsiveness. Communicate/collaborate with salesperson and Customer Account Manager on licensing issues, issues with project documentation and new module opportunities. Knowledge Management Obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of the firm’s shipping software solutions, industry best practice and suite of integrated systems. Ensure project documents, billable time entries, configuration details and activities/tasks are appropriately logged in our project management software. Additional duties Participates in system and release testing and QA as needed. Recommend improvements in Customer Solutions policies and procedures. Additional duties as assigned by management. About you We are seeking a technically proficient, resourceful, and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and analytical skills, passionate about creating a superb customer experience. This role typically requires 2-5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1+ years of experience implementing software systems in a project-based environment. 1-2 years' project management experience (managing multiple concurrent projects). 2+ years' experience in customer service and software support role. Experience in supporting, implementing and integrating software systems (e.g. ERP, Shipping, WMS, EMR, EDI, eCommerce). Experience providing remote training via meeting management software (e.g. Microsoft Teams) Strong understanding of technical systems, databases, and specifications with an ability to transform customer needs into system solutions. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work efficiently and independently and do whatever it takes to get the job done. Ability to handle difficult or sensitive situations with diplomacy and tact. Aptitude to quickly get up to speed and become on an expert on implemented software. Technical Skills Experience with implementing and configuring Cloud multi-tenant (SaaS) software applications. Experience with implementing and supporting Client/Server on-premise software applications. Extensive familiarity with Windows operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 2008/R2 Server, Windows 2012 R2 Server, Windows 2019 Server (32 and 64-bit Editions). Familiarity with Remote Desktop services (RDS), Terminal Services, Citrix (XenApp) Printer/driver installation, configuration & troubleshooting Experience with deploying and configuring Microsoft SQL Server DBMS and general understanding of relational database concepts High level understanding of Client/Server software architecture Knowledge of computer and networking essentials, TCP/IP, network drive mapping, Windows Firewall, proxy, data execution prevention Experience with installing, configuring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting software General understanding of integrating software systems Experience with ODBC data sources, Windows registry, Windows services, DOS Prompt, event viewer Knowledge of user groups/roles, and setting Windows folder permissions and security configuration Experience with Customer Relationship Management system (e.g. Salesforce CRM). Experience working with project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project, Jira, Mavenlink), remote assistance, and meeting management software e.g. BomGar, ScreenConnect, GoTo Meeting What’s in it for you?
