Purpose of Job:
To ensure accurate and compliant testing, release, and control of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products within the laboratory, while upholding quality standards,
regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency. Responsible for daily management of people and procedures of lab.
Responsible to perform routine, usually basic laboratory testing and maintenance of laboratory equipment/systems; to review data vs. specifications and perform lab investigations as needed; and to perform basic troubleshooting of analytical methods and equipment. Leads the team of lab analysts in their day to day work.
Key Expectations and Responsibilities:Critical Release Process: Held accountable for overseeing the critical release process for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.Testing and Reporting: Responsible for conducting tests on raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products, ensuring precision and reproducibility in results. Reporting accurate findings promptly.Lab Equipment Calibration: Responsible for managing the calibration of internal lab equipment. Also, oversee supplier management for external calibration needs.Document Management: Take charge of all laboratory-related documentation, including those pertaining to releases, FP retentions, and compliance with record- keeping protocols.Reagent and Media: Responsible for the creation, standardization, labeling, and control of reagents and media used in the laboratory.Initiative Participation: Participate in the implementation of laboratory test method initiatives to enhance overall laboratory practices.Indirect Operation: Ensure proper control of facilities and in-process activities, conduct final checks before product release, and maintain operational oversight.Direct Operation: Follow established procedures provided by R&D, perform tasks according to instructions, and facilitate product release as per Site QA Release delegation.Training Adherence: Ensure rigorous adherence to training requirements, successfully completing training programs for all necessary skills.Loss Elimination: Identify opportunities for minimizing costs and effort in laboratory processes, leading to more efficient work procedures.Legal Compliance: Fulfill the legal expectations set by PSQCA for identified tests to be performed on finished products.Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Follow GMP principles and practices to ensure high-quality laboratory operations.Day-to-Day planning for testing of raw materials and finished product.Lab management system health checkData integrity compliance and health check.Deployment & execution of Integrated work systems in Lab.Adherence to good laboratory practices and follow GLP principles and practices.Adherence to safety principles according to site standards.Job Qualifications
