As a PS Emerald Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design, oversight and technical governance of our customer solutions. You will provide consultation and support to NCR’s customers' as well as technical expertise recommendations and support to the various product and engineering teams comprising the Emerald solution.
In this exciting position, you will apply current SW Architecture best practices for system design, provide technology leadership and support the creation of a scalable, secure, flexibly deployed next generation Emerald solution that best fits our customers. You will convert requirements into the architecture and design, that ultimately constitute the blueprint for the solution, comprised of one or many components and collaborate with the customer and NCR teams through the successful implementation of the solution.
Key areas of responsibility:
Define Solution, Integration and Technical Architecture directions for customer implementation programs.Create and maintain Architecture Artefacts, such as Solution Blueprint, High Level Design Documents, Mapping of Data Interfaces, High Level Network and Deployment diagrams.Design the specifications, models and guidelines within a coherent architectural blueprint to meet user requirements reflecting NCR’s established design principlesPlan and coordinate activities to ensure compliance with regulations, standards and requirementsUnderstand the information needs, data sources and their limitations and ensures data is validated, stored, protected, and processed accurately and timelyParticipate in review and approval of Project Implementation PlansTake part in creation of Best Practices and Guidelines for Emerald Project Implementation Practices.Representing Customer projects on Technical and Architecture related events.Participate in onsite customer project implementation activitiesLead Troubleshooting Activities during the resolution of critical incidents in customer production and lab environmentsEffectively work with all stakeholders including Product leaders, Solution management, Engineering and Sales teams. Understand security and privacy compliance. Work with 3rd parties on integration to NCR solutions.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experienceBroad range technical background including software programming skills and understanding of Enterprise Design Patterns, Principals and best practices of Integration Architecture.Understanding of cloud technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends. Experience in SaaS and Cloud ServicesExperience with software delivery to customer test and production environment, understanding of Software and Operational Life Cycle.Hands on experience with SQL and No SQL Databases.Solid knowledge of Computer Operating Systems – Linux and Windows OSExperience with Containerized Deployment, Kubernetes, DokerHands on experience with cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, GCP Five Years of experience in Solution Architect or equivalent technical leadership position.Fluency with Software Architecture Modeling Tools, like Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect, Microsoft Visio etc.Proven ability to create and maintain Architecture Artifacts – Solution Blueprints, Integration Design Documents, Proven ability to create sound and cohesive Architecture Design for productions solutions, including significant amount of integrated solution components, deployed in different environmentsProven ability to review business and technical requirements and translate them into design-oriented quality attributes that are measurable and verifiable.Ability to troubleshoot and research problems in test and production environment Hands on experience with variety of software development tools –VS Code, GitHub, Jira, Travel required. Approximately 25% of the time.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in and ease of use in job tools such as MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)Previous working experience with Point of Sale products, Loyalty and Promotion Management and Fuel software solutionHands on experience with automated deployment in non-cloud distributed environmentsUnderstanding and practical experience with Cloud Deployment Technologies.
