The following outlines the Job Description of positions within the Team Member Career Path starting from Trainee Team Member, through Team Member, Senior Team Member, to Expert Team Member. A more detailed skills breakdown for each position is attached.
Objective: As an active member of the Cell/Area Team achieve world-class QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) performance by rigorously applying standard work, and actively supporting the improvement of the Personalisation processes and machine performance.
Key tasks (the exact weighting of / time allocation to tasks may vary)
Apply standard work to achieve consistent QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) performance: Sustain and promote the WCE personalisation system: standard work, quality standards, Health and Safety procedures. (80%) Sustain Cell/area and machine conditions: 5S, autonomous maintenance, trouble-shooting. (10%) Actively contribute to improvement activities to achieve world-class QCD results: PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) / DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) problem solving teams, improve 5S and work standards, proposing and implementing improvements. (10%)
Essential knowledge and competencies
Knowledge of the work (facts and reasons):
Understands complete personalisation process and flow.Intimate understanding of customer-supplier link: Knows the needs of all of his/her internal and external customers and his/her own role in fulfilling these, including performance and quality requirements, information exchanges and dependencies. Knows his/her requirements as an internal customer.Understands and able to run to standard all machines and processes in their Cell/area (Skill Level: Team Member), and an additional Cell/area (Skill Level: Senior Team Member).Understands and able to use cell metrics, where applicable. Can explain their links to operations/business objectives and how they can be used to drive process improvement.Able to maintain the machines so that they are clean and in excellent working condition, identify and fix faults (increasing complexity according to Skills Level).Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Engineering Maintenance (Skill Level: Expert (Tech)).Knowledge of responsibilities:

It is the responsibility of all employees to fully adhere to the security standards within our business.
Security doors must never be propped, held, or left open when not in immediate use for the transfer of people or product. Employees must wear their badge visibly at all times, respect the level of access control provided by their access card and ensure that their card is not used by anyone other than themselves.
Employees within the production areas must abide by the procedures within the production processes that are applicable to the reconciliation of the audit trail. All operators are responsible for their production process and the reconciliation of work within that process.
Employees using PCs must abide by the IT Security procedures at all times. Mandatory elements include, but are not limited to:
Hard-drive and BIOS passwords must be activated on all Gemalto laptops.Antivirus must be running.Passwords must never be divulged to others.Personal accounts must never be shared with others (you must not allow anyone to use your login).Unapproved Peer-to-peer software must not be used.Employees must report any suspected security incidents to the Security Department or to their line management.
