Position TitlePSR Scheduling TrainerDays - Full TimeWestwood Medical Pavilion - WestPosition Summary / Career Interest:The Patient Service Representative Trainer is responsible for facilitating the standardized training program for the Patient Service Reps as a part of orientation or upon request from leadership. This position will travel with new hires into their work environment to continue with new hire onboarding and will travel for at elbow training for remediation if more training is needed upon request. The Patient Service Rep Trainer evaluates employees upon completion of their training to ensure each employee will deliver exceptional and consistent service throughout the organization.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.Responsible for assisting building maintaining and reviewing implementing the PSR training programs – classroom, simulation and work environment training.Orients all new staff to their job responsibilities both in a group setting and 1:1 training.Responsible for setting up and preparing the classroom, simulation space and training material in collaboration with the training manager in accordance with the Credentialed Trainer’s course plans.Conducts employee assessments throughout initial and at the end of training to determine if training is complete or additional training is needed. This includes, but is not limited to Powerpoints, handouts, etc, throughout the first 30, 60, 90 days of employment Provides feedback to leadership on development & improvement opportunities on the assessment tools to further identify and determine employee training needs.Performs at elbow training and support for new hires and those identified by clinic management upon request.Collaborates with Rev Cycle trainers to conduct at elbow remediation.Performs PSR responsibilities in a float capacity as needed to help backfill assignments in clinics/scheduling departments.Performs miscellaneous observations, including but not limited to, clinic business operations in support of Ambulatory vision.Participates in EUAT and Superuser trainingsKeeps up to dates with information regarding upgrades and updatesExercises time management and personal communication of schedules and appointments for the 30, 60, and 90 day assessments, at elbow and follow up training as needed.Clinic and department rounding to observe standard workflows.Ongoing education opportunities at multiple venues that offer continual training.Exercises time management and personal communication of schedules and appointments for department observation/analytic visits with department management as needed.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
