JOB PURPOSE
Coordinates and implements site process safety risk management daily activities in close co-operation with function departments to maintain a high PSRM performance. Acts as Process Safety leader to take PSRM continuous improvement.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide expertise on process safety risk identification, assessment and management processes to the site teams.
• Coach and develop others in aspects of process safety. Coordinate the delivery of process safety training for site teams.
• Review process safety performance indicators for sites and hold sites to account for the timely completion of process safety-related actions.
• Ensure that applicable process safety events / incidents and near misses are reported in Enablon, investigated to root cause and learning shared and embedded. Provide technical input to incident investigations.
• Improve and develop PSRM practices and systems at the site that are efficient and drive consistent behaviors and systematically improve process safety risk and compliance.
• Assess site’s compliance with internal JM and external regulatory process safety police and guidance.
• Facilitate hazards studies.
• In collaboration with engineering and operational teams, work to close out actions arising from hazard studies.
• Contribute to the development and design of capital projects.
• Contribute to and review management of change activities.
• Collaborate with Sector / Group Process Safety network to share learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree qualified (Chemical Engineering).
• At least 8 years of broad relevant industrial experience in high-hazard process operations / technical support.
• Knowledge of Chinese and international PSRM regulations / standards.
• Deep knowledge of process safety methodologies (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, QRA).
• Solid engineering and operation knowledge/experience.
• Good spoken and written English language skills.
• Able to communicate and network well at all levels of the organization.
