About the role:
As a Patient Support Services Assistant (PSSA) , you will play a crucial role in supporting clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations within healthcare environments. You will interact regularly with patients, their families, and clinical staff, providing high-quality service while maintaining confidentiality, empathy, and respect. This is a flexible, dynamic role with tasks that include patient food service, assisting with patient movement, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
Multiple part time opportunities available for morning and afternoon shifts across a 7-day roster.
Key responsibilities:
Responding to service requests and completing tasks on time. Helping patients with meal orders and delivering food and drinks. Assisting with patient movement and transfers using proper equipment. Keeping patient areas clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Cleaning and maintaining clinical equipment and ensuring safe use of oxygen equipment.About you:
Flexible and positive attitude, with a team-oriented approach. Good communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and visitors. Strong attention to detail, maintaining cleanliness and following policies. Eagerness to learn and grow through training and development. Previous experience in healthcare or similar roles is a plus but not required.About us:
