About the Role:
As a Patient Support Services Assistant (PSSA) in the Operating Theatres, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinical areas. While certain tasks, such as setting up theatres according to the theatre list, are scheduled, much of your shift will require flexibility and initiative. You will work under the direction of clinical staff to complete essential tasks within the operating theatre environment.
We currently have multiple part time opportunities; you must be available to work one of the following rosters: 0700 - 1500 OR 1100 - 1900
Key Responsibilities:
Organise and set up equipment for operating theatres as per daily requirements Assist in patient transportation, as directed by the clinical team Collaborate with other hospital services, including linen handling and ordering, to ensure seamless operations Maintain high standards of professional conduct and interpersonal communication Assist with monitoring and upholding cleaning and hygiene standards within the clinical areasAbout you:

Qualifications and Experience:
Certificate III in Health Service Assistant / Health Service Support Services (Desirable) Previous experience in a hospital environment, preferably in operating theatres Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety principles Strong organisational and communication skills Ability to work without supervision Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask A proactive attitude, willing to contribute to a team environment Professional presentation at all timesAbout us:
