Responsibilities:
Maintain Competency:
Attend a minimum of 2 unit-based or institute-wide in-services yearly. Learn and utilize up-to-date technology and practices in patient care delivery.Patient Support:
Encourage patients to perform or assist them in activities of daily living. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the milieu program for consistent, therapeutic care. Manage crisis situations effectively using positive approaches. Assist nursing staff in providing physical care.Documentation and Communication:
Document in the medical record according to established policies. Maintain ongoing communication with the treatment team and charge nurse regarding patient observations and care provided. Participate in interdisciplinary activities, including treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and co-worker feedback processes.Organizational Support:
Assist in preparing and organizing paperwork on the night shift to ensure smooth care coordination throughout the day. Take initiative to maintain the unit environment.
