Our Behavioral Health Clinic is hiring!
Our ideal candidate will live out the organization’s Missions, Vision, and Values by providing care for the needs of mentally and emotionally ill patients, under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will utilize good judgement, critical thinking, and problem- solving skills to maintain a safe and positive healing environment for patients, as well as a therapeutic milieu.
Additionally, the ideal candidate values the patients’ wellbeing and can assist with crisis situations that may require “hands-on” techniques for patient stabilization and safety. You will serve as a liaison between patients, family members, and the care team. You will also use communication skills to help to educate patients on healthy coping mechanisms in accordance with their care plan.
This is a part-time, evening-shift position. Shift hours are from 1500 - 2330, weekend and holiday availability is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have two (2) or more years of experience in healthcare.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work preferred.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
