Mon Yough Community Services is hiring a Full-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to help support our outpatient Mental Health offices in McKeesport.
Hours: Monday-Friday daylight 40 hours per week. We support work/life balance so schedule flexibility can be discussed.
Location: UPMC McKeesport
Position Specifics: Behavioral Health. Must have mental health certification. You will see individuals with behavioral health needs and the ability to see both adults and children would be a plus.
Department Details: This Mon Yough clinic is based within the underserved communities of the Mon Valley such as McKeesport, Clairton, and Duquesne. The individuals seen here range from mild depression to severe and persistent mental illness along with significant substance use. This position would be ideal for an individual wanting to make a change in the world, community by community. The staff working at Mon Yough are dedicated to the people we serve. This position would provide a candidate with a wide range of experience and prepare them for many different types of future roles. We also have a Medical Director who works very closely with all of the nurse practitioners.

The Staff or Senior Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a Physician Assistant or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner and a member of the care delivery team. The APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The APP has responsibility, authority, and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members. The role of the APP encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. The APP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients, and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession.
