Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic clinical team. This position will serve adults living with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), some of whom may have co-occurring substance use disorders. The NP will provide comprehensive psychiatric care within our behavioral health programs. Full-time salary is posted, based upon related experience (75hrs bi-weekly). Prorated for part-time. (60hrs bi-weekly) Position is eligible for sign on bonus and is pro-rated for part-time. Key Responsibilities: + Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management + Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, including injectable medications and controlled substances + Provide crisis intervention and support as part of a multidisciplinary team + Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary case discussions + Conduct health screenings and ensure integration of physical and behavioral healthcare + Deliver services in-clinic and in the community, as needed for ACT clients + Collaborate with clinical teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, peer specialists, and care managers + Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with OMH standards Minimum Qualifications: + Current certification and license as a Nurse Practitioner in NYS, with a specialty in psychiatry (NPP preferred) + Active DEA number and license to prescribe controlled substances in New York State + Experience working with adults with SPMI and/or co-occurring disorders + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based model + Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ACT model or community-based mental health care Bilingual abilities are a plus Work Schedule: 4 days per week with flexibility in scheduling (part-time) 5 days per week per week with flexibility in scheduling (full-time) Benefits: Prorated part-time benefits !
