Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work in our Behavioral Health Clinics.

The ideal candidate must have graduated from an accredited school of practical or professional nursing and hold a valid license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State. Additionally, they must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License. The candidate should have the ability to make independent decisions when necessary and effectively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities include participating as a full member of the Assertive Community Treatment Team and behavioral health clinic teams, writing prescriptions and medical orders, scheduling follow-up visits, and counseling individuals. The candidate will monitor progress notes, maintain drug histories, assist with pharmacy consultations, and engage individuals to promote recovery. They will also assess needs, link individuals to resources, provide ongoing support, and offer advocacy for access to services. Additional tasks include monitoring health status, providing crisis management, documenting all contacts, communicating with service providers, working flexible hours, maintaining good communication with co-workers, and complying with confidentiality and privacy policies.

This position does require flexible hours, as needed by individuals and program needs.

Salary for this position ranges from $122,130 to $135,343 based on experience.
