Job Title: Psychiatrist Job Overview: The psychiatrist performs psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management for patients of all ages within our outpatient clinic that specializes in I/DD. Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities: + Determine a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan and measure progress against the plan, making adjustments as needed + Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications + Order and interpret laboratory tests + Consult with patients’ primary care physicians to coordinate care + Partner with other members of the care team (e.g., nurse, medical assistant, social worker) + Report and coordinate care with Chief of Psychiatry + Complete all EHR documentation and administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.) + MD or DO degree + Completion of an ACGME-approved psychiatry residency + Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry + Valid DEA registration and New York medical license + BLS certification Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above) + 2+ years of post-residency experience + Active Medicare and NYS Medicaid registration + Familiarity with the NextGen EHR + Experience with the I/DD patient population Compensation: + $180,000.00-220,000.00 annually If you share our vision and want to help support people to live the fullest lives possible, YAI will be the right place for you.
