Job Title:           Psychiatrist

Job Overview:

The psychiatrist performs psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management for patients of all ages within our outpatient clinic that specializes in I/DD. 

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Determine a diagnosis, develop a treatment plan and measure progress against the plan, making adjustments as neededMonitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medicationsOrder and interpret laboratory testsConsult with patients’ primary care physicians to coordinate carePartner with other members of the care team (e.g., nurse, medical assistant, social worker)Report and coordinate care with Chief of PsychiatryComplete all EHR documentation and administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner

Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)

MD or DO degreeCompletion of an ACGME-approved psychiatry residencyBoard certified or board eligible in psychiatryValid DEA registration and New York medical licenseBLS certification

Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)

2+ years of post-residency experienceActive Medicare and NYS Medicaid registrationFamiliarity with the NextGen EHRExperience with the I/DD patient population

Compensation:   

$180,000.00-220,000.00 annually
