Responsibilities Serve as the Chief for the US Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) SCJ39 Military Information Support Operations (MISO) Branch or WebOps Section within the USSOCOM Joint MISO WebOps Center. Represent USSOUTHCOM in working groups and conferences with Joint Staff, office of the Secretary of Defense, other Combatant Commands, components and USG Agencies. Develop the operational design and concept of support for planning to support the USSOUTHCOM Theater Campaign Plan, CONPLANs and contingency/exercise planning. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with the organization, management staffing and operations of a Combatant Command, understanding of the Joint Operational Planning Execution System process and a background in Joint staff planning and tactical level execution, ability to develop resources guidance for subordinate activities and perform continuous appraisal of the utilization of command resources in accomplishing program objectives and goals, expert knowledge of the pertinent laws, statutes, DoD directives, Army Regulations, and contingency plans governing and command/support relationships within SOUTHCOM, DoD, Department of State , United States Government Interagency and Participating Nation community, experience with military command structures and policies and procedures (Joint Staff, COCOMs and Military Departments), missions, agency programs and organizational relationships. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
