Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding one Psychologist to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. Lincoln is a designated Level I Trauma and Stroke Center and has Centers of Excellence in all medical specialties including its award- winning Cancer and Breast Centers. The Department of Psychiatry provides care and services to one of the most diverse populations in New York. The Department has 60 acute inpatient beds, a busy Psychiatry ED, a Mobile Crisis Team, a Consultation-Liaison Service and a large ambulatory platform serving adults and children. The Department provides on-site school-based services to multiple Bronx sites. Lincoln offers a variety of state-of-the-art Substance Use treatment services across all care setting including consultation, medication assisted therapies and ongoing treatment modalities through the Lincoln Recovery Center.

Opportunity Details:
Formulate and implement procedures for operating, monitoring, and evaluating mental health programs and services in assigned area of responsibility. Develop and lead staff training programs and exercises to maintain a culture of learning and clinical excellence. Serve as the clinical leader for the assigned area of responsibility and provide weekly individual and in-person supervision for all assigned mental health clinical staff; review diagnostic, treatment, and level of care decisions and documentation; ensure adherence to policies and procedures; and conduct clinical case conferences. Lead daily multi-disciplinary meetings with all mental health staff in the assigned area of responsibility. Provide quality assurance and quality improvement as directed by the Clinical Director of Psychiatry. Coordinate re-entry services with the social work staff in the assigned area of responsibility. Meet regularly with the Clinical Director of Psychiatry or assigned supervisor to provide meaningful input into program design and policy formation Personnel management of the clinical staff, with assistance from the Clinical and/or Medical Directors as needed, including recruiting, mentorship, supervision, and disciplinary procedures. 20% of time must be devoted to direct clinical care, some of which may include supervision of trainees. Timely and clear documentation of supervision and clinical care is expected.
