The Rose F. Kennedy Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) at Montefiore is nationally recognized multi- disciplinary program that provides a broad spectrum of clinical services for infants, children, adolescents, and adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities.
The psychologist will work with patients with learning disabilities and other neurodevelopmental disabilities ages 5 through 21 on RFK CERC’s Child and Adolescent Unit (CAU). Primary responsibilities will focus on diagnostic and intervention needs. The psychologist will be responsible for conducting psychological/psychoeducational evaluations for diagnostic clarification and to assist with educational and treatment planning. Therapeutically, the psychologist will use evidence-based psychotherapy techniques in order to help patients attain their goals.
· Work as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, social workers, speech/language pathologists, and developmental behavioral pediatricians
· Supervision of psychology externs
· Teaching and research opportunities are available
· Applicants must be licensed in NYS
· English/Spanish bilingual is strongly encouraged, but others will be considered
Requirements
New York State license as a Psychologist
Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
Completion of Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a clinical psychology or related field.
Experience with learning disabilities/neurodevelopmental disabilities is preferred.
