One year full-time post-doctoral clinical experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting. Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the State of Texas. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Psychologist III: Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP). Five years full-time, post-licensure experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting – or – American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) diploma and three years full-time post licensure experience in college or university counseling center or other relevant setting. Licensed Psychologist (LP) in the State of Texas. In addition to the above requirements, must have ONE of the following: a.) one refereed publication b.) two state, regional, or national professional presentation that are relevant to job function c.) substantial professional organization activity* – or – ABPP diploma. Nature & Purpose of Position Provide clinical mental health services to the student body of Sam Houston State University. Direct clinical services include individual, couples, and group therapy as well as crisis intervention. Indirect clinical services include outreach presentations, campus/community consultation, and supervision of trainees.
