The Psychology Associate II will administer and score psychological and neuropsychological tests and assist parents or care givers in advocating for their children’s needs in the community. The incumbent will comply with regulations governing Psychology Associates. Principal responsibilities will be for ages 5 - adult. The incumbent will assist the Department Director in administrative duties as assigned.
Responsibilities1. Administer and score a variety of diagnostic assessment instruments that evaluate intellectual functioning, neuropsychological status, personality structure, and academic achievement. Score results from these measures.
2. Provide psychological testing, under appropriate supervision for subjects seen on funded research projects.
3. Assist in design and maintenance of departmental data base.
4. Prepare administrative reports concerning the Intake clinic.
5. Write queries for internal reports from the data base.
6. Assist the Department Director in Performance Improvement activities and documentation.
7. Assist the Department Director in the development of research initiatives.
8. Assist in preparation of grant proposals for submission.
9. Assist in preparation of manuscripts for submission for publication.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
• MA/MS in psychology from an accredited college or university required.
• Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists approval to practice as “Psychology Associate” required.
• Courses in testing preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One year clinical experience (at least one year in a population of mentally and physically handicapped) which may be satisfied by supervised practicum experiences during the educational program for the Masters degree.
