Job Summary
The Psychology Training Coordinator oversees the design, implementation, and administration of all psychology training programs within the hospital, including practicum, internship, and postdoctoral fellowship opportunities. This leadership role ensures that training programs meet accreditation standards, deliver high-quality educational experiences, and support the professional development of psychology trainees. The Director collaborates with clinical and academic staff to integrate psychology services into interdisciplinary care and contributes to the advancement of psychological practice and education within a hospital setting.

Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of postdoctoral clinical experience providing psychological services in healthcare or behavioral health settings.
Experience working with diverse patient populations in a community or hospital-based environment.
Supervision and Training
At least 2 years of experience supervising psychology trainees, including practicum students, interns, or postdoctoral fellows.
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering clinical supervision, didactic instruction, and professional mentorship.
Program Development & Administration
Proven experience in designing, managing, or coordinating psychology training programs (e.g., APA-accredited internship or postdoc).
Familiarity with accreditation standards and best practices for psychology education (e.g., APA, APPIC, or equivalent).
Leadership & Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Experience in a leadership or administrative role, ideally in a training or educational context.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of interdisciplinary teams in healthcare settings.
Licensure
Current licensure (or license eligibility) as a psychologist in the state of Massachusetts
Good standing with all relevant licensing and regulatory bodies.

Training Standards & Accreditation
Strong familiarity with APA, APPIC, and state licensing board requirements for psychology training programs.

Expertise in supervision models and practices.
Comprehensive understanding of APA Ethical Principles and state laws governing clinical training and supervision.
Hospital/Healthcare Systems
Awareness of how psychology integrates into medical and psychiatric settings.
Knowledge of community mental health and population-specific needs (e.g., underserved groups, trauma, chronic illness).

Strong organizational and administrative skills to lead training programs.
