Various Locations in Metro ATLThe Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Physical Therapist, collaborates in planning and implementing treatment programs to restore or improve mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients affected by injury or disease. Services are provided across the full continuum of care in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner. The PTA must comply with all relevant regulatory standards.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Provision of Care:
Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.Select appropriate treatment activities to help patients progress toward their goals.Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and patients/families to revise goals and care plans as needed.Provide ongoing education and training to patients and families.Provide discharge instructions and make appropriate follow-up referrals to community resources.Serve as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.Documentation:
Document each treatment session according to departmental protocols.Complete and submit required documentation, including family education, discharge plans, and other necessary reports, in line with facility and program guidelines.General Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required.Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required.Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Required Minimum Experience:
