Being a PT Instructional Support Specialist at Devereux has its advantages! As a PT Instructional Support Specialist you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.
Pay-rate: $19.50 - $22.23 (based upon experience and education)
Hours: Up to 32 hours per week with
Schedule: Flexible hours during the time the children are in the school
Every day as a PT Instructional Support Specialist you will:
Assist in establishing classroom environments that is conducive to maximum learning by maintaining structure and guiding students to socially appropriate behaviorsResponsible for the children's welfare, safety, and location at all times, including during arrival and dismissalWork with the Special Education Teachers to implement skill acquisition and behavioral reduction programs individually and in small groupsPerform ongoing data collection and record keeping as directed by Special Education TeacherSupport and reinforce PBIS goals and objectivesYou will be offered:

QualificationsEDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
