The Therapist is responsible for assessing client's mental health status, developing a client specific treatment plan, providing individual, group and family therapy and completing all required clinical documentation that is in compliance with KidsPeace and regulatory requirements.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

Complete client assessments and develop a client centered, individualized treatment plan with each client. Designate client problem areas, assist client in formulating related goals and tasks and support client in achieving these goals via the completion of specific tasks. Provide individual, group and family therapy which directly address client treatment plan goals. Develop a discharge plan that meets the ongoing needs of each client. Complete all required documentation in a timely manner on KidsPeace approved forms and according to KidsPeace and regulatory standards. All other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications (Education, Training and Experiences)

Masters Degree in Human Services related field. Applicable state licensure or licensend eligible preferred. Minimum of two years experience in Human Services required. Experience with acute emotionally challenged children or adolescents preferred Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills. Must be 21 years of age.
